Trefriw

Today I was taking photographs in the village to put on the Trefriw website page on www.wales-tourist-information.co.uk . It was such a lovely morning, I went up to catch the sunshine on the Fairy Falls – and very pretty they looked

I also took a photo of St. Mary’s Church, which is attributed to Llewelyn Fawr, who caused it to be built in 1230 because his wife, Joan, had tired of walking the mile uphill to Llanrhychwyn church.

I don’t blame her – it’s a very steep climb!  Llanrhychwyn church is well worth a visit though, set as it is, in a field.  It’s very small and simple and has a wonderful atmosphere.  However I didn’t have time to walk up there for photos today. Another time……
