We’re happy to report that here at Plas Celyn we escaped damage from the terrible flooding that hit North Wales over Christmas. The waters rose to a record level, and many properties suffered damage from water ingress, but the damage was caused by run-off from the mountains, rather from the river bursting it’s banks. The whole of the valley was full of water and Trefriw was cut off on both sides! At the start of the New Year, we are still having rainy spells, but so far at least, the floods have not returned.
During January, Mike and I are doing some maintenance work on the house, so will remain closed. We hope to be open for business later next month, when (maybe) spring will be on the way. Looking forward to seeing some of you here at Plas Celyn.
Happy New Year everyone! Blwyddyn newydd dda i bawb!
